Msconfig Error - Access Denied When Disabling Service

I too got the error when trying to change the service to disabled from automatic.To disable the service: 1. Since it has been a few days, please post a new Deckard's System Scanner Log which includes the HijackThis log. If you change something in MSCONFIG you get a message saying you need to administrator, but the change works anyway. That should run msconfig with the necessary privileges.

The user account I am logged on with is an administrator account, but is the fact the username is not "administrator" causing the problem? This also means that your Windows user account must have "administrator" access level in order to run any command as the administrator (including the msconfig utility).
